San Francisco, CA - On April 12th, The Global Security Institute will honor Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi with the 2003 Alan Cranston Peace Award for her critical role in promoting nuclear disarmament, international peace, human rights, and gender equity.
Please join actors Pierce Brosnan and Peter Coyote, United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Disarmament Affairs Jayantha Dhanapala, and special guests in honoring Congresswoman Pelosi.
In a time of human awakening, historic uncertainty, international crisis and threats to our cherished democracy we offer you a chance to celebrate and support the dedication of those working for peace and disarmament around the world.
The Gala dinner will be the first time Congresswoman Pelosi is honored in San Francisco since being chosen Democratic Leader of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Isn't it great how they can find a way to spin their actions. She voted to keep innocent people torturted, imprisoned and oppressed and for this she wins a peace award? One wonders what she'll deserve from the leftists if she went and executed a few iraqi civilians herself.
My that would put her right up there with Ghandi, huh.
Well, they don't have a Jackass for their mascott for nothin.

My only "California" experience came from a short-term roommate I had in NYC back in the mid 70's. She hailed from the San Fernando Valley. Her parents were former vaudevillians, and had named her "Willow Brook Storm", I suppose to ready her for a career in show business (or as a soap opera character anyway lol). She had a very extensive costume jewelry collection as I recall.

Good, now she can screw that "Face tightener" knob on the back of her neck and SMILE. She has made millionaires out of a dozen plastic surgeons in this decade.

OOOHhhhhhhh bubba.
We are still in the midst of a war. Californicates award the most undistinguished house minority apeaker, Nancy "I can't shut my eyes" Pelosi and the award is for promoting disarmament in a time of war.
What am I missing here?

Add Pierce Brosnan to boycott list... If Pierce Brosnan isn't a fairy, I'm President of the United States.

Hey, she deserves it.
She didn't want to topple an evil regime so we could have peace.
Well, as long as they didn't attack us...which they said they wouldn't.
