04-10-03- Well, it appears that the message is getting across that the majority of Americans have lost their patience with celebrities bashing our president and it's taking a toll, "We're very saddened".
Check out this story from Page Six Today- The high cost of Bush-bashing
JANEANE Garofalo's relentless bashing of President Bush might have doomed her new ABC sitcom.
Garofalo is set to play a producer of a TV newsmagazine on "Slice O'Life." But ABC has been deluged with calls and e-mails from patriotic types threatening to boycott the network and its advertisers if the sitcom gets on the schedule, reports MSNBC.com's Jeannette Walls.

Wow she really said that....do you have a transcript?

As I said before, Ms. Couric is way overdue for another televised colonoscopy, this time using a foot.

Who's Katie Couric?
To: EternalVigilance
Yes. It was during the time the statue was pulled down. Her comments were reported in detail by several FReepers. Brokaw left in disgust. She reportedly asked him on air if she had said something wrong, and he said something really cutting and took off. I'll see if I can find it. Please do! I haven't heard anything about any of this.

Artie Lang on the Howard Stern show had the funniest line about this when he said this morning:
"The real losers in this are the American people who will never get to see this terrific show."
There was much hooting and laughter following that bit of sarcasm.

Slice O' Life?
Never heard of it. Doesn't sound like a winner anyway.

Wow she really said that....do you have a transcript? No, just the real-time reports of about half a dozen FReepers.

Garofalo is such a twit. She is utterly clueless, but she seems to think that by putting on those horn-rimmed glasses, her IQ automatically goes up. I would pay to see O'Reilly or Kilmeade take her apart again.

I was not even aware of this.

I'm sure that if militant gays broke into St. Patrick's Cathedral, brought down the crucifix and dragged it down Fifth Avenue, Katie would defend what they did as free speech. But bringing down a statue of Saddam is a "desecration". She is twisted to the core.
To his credit, Brokaw greeted her outrageous comment with the disgust it deserved. Of the three network anchors, he's the least anti-American. And this isn't the first time little Katie has put her foot in her mouth in his presence. I remember during the memorial service for Princess Diana, Katie said something really stupid, and Brokaw gave her a dirty look and immediately broke in to cover for her.
