To: The Great Satan
There aren't very many Iraqis welcoming us at this moment in time. It's hard to overcome 30 years of brainwashing/dictatorship.

It troubles me that that they're not so receptive to our occupational presence. I'm certain it will change with time, but I don't think that things are peachy over there right now.

I would suppose, that thirty plus years of living in total fear, really TOTAL fear, not only of what might happen to yourself but your family members, might tend to make one extremely unable to trust anyone. Much less a foreigner armed to the hilt. A bit a American justice, tempered with humanity and tolerance, will take time to set in...maybe years. Point is...these people now have a chance where only darkness and struggle once existed. God bless them all and especially our troops, willing to die for their cry for freedom.
