Carl Prine embedded with the 1st Marine Division reported this for the Pittsburgh Tribune Review. I've been following his reports through radio interviews and in one yesterday he admitted that he had picked up a rifle and fired back at the Iraqis when the unit he was with was under fire. Being a combat veteran he knew what he was doing.

Just broke on foxnews. Seems the Pentagon wasn't aware and learned of it through watching the interview with reporter on foxnews.
