If you read various threads relating the reactions of Arabs in other countries, you will understand my pessimism. Pan Arabism, hatred of Israel and religion will outweight gratitude for liberation in the longer term.

I've been tearing up all day....every time I see the Iraqis in Baghdad, or wherever - SMILING...happy....we do what's right, don't we? America is a land that, in the end, really really really wants to export the prosperity and goodness that we enjoy to everybody. The freedom.
The pictures of the smiling kids really gets to me. It's like somebody finally woke them up from some bad nightmare they didn't understand. They couldn't understand why Daddy was taken away suddenly in the night, or why people talked in hushed voices sometimes, or where the fear came from. But when it was gone, they could tell. You can see it on their faces. I'm so proud that we did this. Truly the land of the free and the home of the brave. I don't know why God decided to give me the privelidge of being born here. I sure am thankful that he did though.

THANKS! God Bless the Americans, the British, the Australians, and any others that stood up for what's right. I'm so proud today.

These pictures bring tears of joy and rage to my eyes. Joy because we have a leader who understands the needs of humanity. Rage because of the liars and creeps who oppose him doing so knowing full well the nature of our enemy.

Where do you think 95% of the soldiers liberating these people were educated? Any bets?
Couldn't you throw in a red herring about abortion or gun control or some other irrelevency?

Kinda makes you wonder how many little boys named "George" and "Tony" will be populating Iraq's schoolrooms in a few years!

U.S. Army Spc. John Dresel from Oxford, Conn. is kissed by an Iraqi child in Baghdad Wednesday, April 9, 2003. The soldiers from the A Company 3rd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment took over a section of northern Baghdad with a warm welcome from many residents, but under sporadic rocket and small arms fire. I thought that us conservatives only cared about oil, not people? Then why is it that on this grassroots, conservative website, the thing that brings us the most joy is seeing the happy faces of a liberated people?

Boot camp helped them rise above their miserable educations.
You could too. Unless you're a teacher. Then the NEA won't let you.

Maybe they'll become more like Kuwait and break away from the fanatical Arabs. We always have to have hope.
