I want to fly over there and give her a hug...she is full of such joy it is intoxicating.
I praise God she knows the truth about us and I hope she comes to see the love of Christ as well.

The sickening thing is that the New York Times has not shown a single smiling Iraqi celebration photo the past two days.Same thing on ABC News w/ Peter Jennings (yes,yes- I should know...).
Just about every night he shows photos, and none of them even compare to the beautiful pictures I have seen here on FR.
Having an 11 year old daughter myself, the photos of the smiling children are especially touching. (Theres something heavenly in seeing a child smile...)
To be fair - they did show footage of the statue coming down, with people jumping up and down on it. And another of an older Iraqi gentleman holding a Sadam poster and hitting it with his shoe...that was pretty cool!

I loved the photos you posted: (especially the
patty-cake one)
Looking at them, and all the others with G.I.s interacting with the liberated, made me think back to my uncle's time and say, they are all the same G.I.

I just made this for my computer background, but I wanted to share it with you Freepers. I have never done this before so it isn't the best in the world, but I tried to get a few great photos together and I made some text to go along with it (the size is somewhat off from what it really is, but my jpg came out huge so I had to make it smaller for you guys) *I am sorry if this takes forever to load for anybody with slow modems, but it goes fast here so I thought it would be okay to post*:

Incredible. What a beautiful child. And look at that smile on her mom's face. Freedom is a beautiful thing.
