There was also a few whiners on this board (a Civil War Re-enactor was on) that just knew we were going to lose. I got tire of hearing of all their reasons for the forthcoming surrender of the American troops.
I now believe they were members of the Iraqi Information Ministry.
Or their diapers were just overly full which would also explain the whining.

I am very happy that Baghdad has fallen without having to do a lot of urban warfare. As a former Army officer, I can tell you that would have been much worse.
BUT, the war is not yet over and our troops are still in harm's way - Tikrit and Mosul are still full of "true believers" (even more that at DU) with AK-47's. Please continue to pray for the safety of our troops.
