Watching the statue fall I had a sudden flash that it also represents the Democratic Party.

She needs to wear a big 'S' on her forehead for the rest of her natural life...she has to be the stupidest creature on the planet.

"Desecration"? Jeez, these pressholes are breathtaking in their shamelessness. Next, Perky Katie will be referring to US troops as "the infidels."

PMSNBC vying with CNN for the most biased coverage
I think they are winning. Nothing but discouraging and "down-talking" the situation. They can only concentrate on the bad.

John Seigenthaler said that the noose was now tighting around Saddam's neck just like President's Bush said! Then MSNBC went silent with their anchors and allowed the scene to speak for itself.
What a moment after all of this to see the head being pulled around the square by Iraqi's!

So you heard that too? He should have answered that the American flag is the symbolism of helping peoples across the world, from all of Western Europe and the Pacific in WW2, Central and Eastern Europe in the '80s and 90s, Kuwait in the '90s, Iraq in '03. The list goes on and on.

A U.S. Marine covers the face of a statue of Iraqi President Saddam Hussein with a U.S. flag in Baghdad on April 9, 2003. Jubilant Iraqis tied a noose around a huge statue of Saddam Hussein in the heart of Baghdad and pelted it with shoes as the Iraqi president's 24-year rule collapsed in chaos. In scenes reminiscent of the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, crowds cheered as men climbed the huge statue of Saddam in the center of Baghdad and placed the rope around the neck in preparation to topple it. This is great news, but we have got a seperate post for everything that's happened to the statue. Kind of overkill.

I flipped over from Fox to NBC briefly as we waited for the statue to come down. It's the first time I've watched anything but Fox since the first week of this war. Instead of enjoying the scene of these people experiencing the greatest moment in their lives, Brokejaw brought up the Middle East situation and they talked about that for the remainder of the time. Katie had to ask why the Bush Administration has erred in waiting so long to engage in that region, and some chick from London Weekly, or some some such mag, was in Iraq talking about people crying because they thought the Americans were there to kill them....She talked about the great fear down around the statue about the Americans occupation.
Sorry, but I am not turning that station on again for a long time to come. This is a moment that once again shows how truely fortunate we are to live in this nation, and that our great leaders and our military have done so much to spread freedom to nations around the world. There is truly nothing that compares to watching these people this morning experience freedom for the first time.

I believe in the heat of the moment she exposed her true beliefs-Katie admires men who practice S&M. I realize this is a cruel thing to point out, but she is the one who expressed revulsion at the "desecration" and Saddam is an evil sadist--so it is the only logical conclusion. What a very strange person she is.

This can't be! Hussein was "elected" with 100% approval (and Bush is an "illegitimate president"). The leftists told me so! < /SARCASM >
Seriously though, cool images!

What a moment after all of this to see the head being pulled around the square by Iraqi's! Ah but to see it through my tears that have been flowing non-stop all morning. It's 70 degrees in my home, but I needed a sweater to control the goosebumps. Unbelievable start of a glorious day.

Katie just asked if the Saddam holdouts are individuals who will fight to the death as a "matter of honor"
