Somebody please forward this to Streisand, Sheen, Daschle, Mrs. Clintoon, Kerry and all the other leftist creeps who wanted to keep Saddam in power.

Elsewhere, an Iraqi waving a rifle yelled: "We are Americans, we are USA." A singularly stupid thing to do.

.....

Iraqis are now trying to pull down the statue of Saddam Hussein in Baghdad's main square.

Damn, I know it's part and parcel of being a conservative, but I never get tired of finding myself on the right side of history yet again.

I'm sure Ed Assner wants us to give up right now "for the children".

Even Reuters isn't trying to suppress the truth. Nary a snarl.
It's going to be a very bad hair for liberals.

>>Invasion forces have yet to find any banned chemical or biological arms, a key justification for the war. Saddam's government denied possessing them. <<
Does anyone really care whether WMDs are found? The Bush administration had many justifiable reasons for this war, irrespective of banned weapons.

This is the best evidence yet that Saddam and a major contingent of leadership were eliminated.

I'm suprised that the journalists got over their hissy fit about three of their own being killed yesterday in a WAR ZONE to write this. I'm sure more than a few reporters are combing the streets of Baghdad frantically looking for Iraqis who will publically condemn the US for its evil and say that things were peachy keen under the Ba'thist regime. (Oh, and another quote from some disgruntled and out-of-power Ba'athist praising Saddam, while calling Bush Hitler...)

Reuters Television crews watched cheering crowds sack U.N. headquarters in the Canal Hotel and drive off in U.N. cars. The building had housed U.N. aid workers as well as arms inspectors, who were withdrawn shortly before the war began on March 20. At last, this equipment is being put to good use.

On NBC Tom Brokaw an Katie Couric were side-by-each at the desk reporting on the freedom of Iraq this morning. Tom informed the viewers and Katie that he had to "bail out and go to a studio across the street".
Katie responded, "was it something I said?"
Tom replies, "where do I begin."
Katie "ouch"

While we all rejoice at the "Fall of Baghdad", I can't help shed a tear for all the Kids (ie: military personnel), American & British, who died in the name of freedom without ever seeing this day. May God smile upon them, and the prayers of TWO nations help them and their families.

Elsewhere, an Iraqi waving a rifle yelled: "We are Americans, we are USA." Another screamed: "Thank you Mr Bush." When told of this, Senator Tom Daschle replied,"They can't vote, can they?"

Amazing how the Amurikkkans (as we are called over at DU) are able to stage these types of outpourings of support in so many neighborhoods.
