Excellent article that many need to read and understand. Refining our military operations requires battlefield experience. Our next war will reflect further operational and equipment improvements based on what is happening in Iraq.

A good start would be the helmet mounted NVGs, Trijicon rifle sights and tactical kneepads issued to most Army grunts. The Corps will get a big operational boost when the 360 ordered Ospreys hit the field around 2008, if they can work out the last of the bugs.
