[history]
PALO ALTO -- The Palo Alto Police Department said today that resident Seth Yatovitz found a suspicious envelope in his afternoon mail that caused a stinker of a problem.
Police said Yatovitz -- who led the opposition against the city of Burlingame's decision to hold a "Yellow Ribbon Week" to support U.S. troops in Iraq -- took the envelope to the Palo Alto Fire Station to be investigated. Firefighters subsequently called police and the building was evacuated while the rear parking lot and surrounding streets were cordoned off.

Now THAT was poetic.
Whoever donated that particular diaper to the cause should be aware that in certain circles, such as the San Francisco Academy of Fine Arts, what you sent to Mr. Yatovitz would be considered a work of art.
The next chapter of this story will no doubt see the soiled nappy in question sold at auction to a wealthy Hollywood collector (a liberal Im sure).
Our thanks to the creative individual who made this happened and our apologies to the PAFD and PAPD folks who were inconvenienced.

I'd like to see the RATS pay for something on their end for a change!

I think he got the message loud and clear The only message that I got from the story was that Seth Yatovitz and the soiled diaper have a lot in common.
- They're all over your @ss.
- They're both full of s---.
- They both caused an unwarranted amount of ruckus for no reason.

The sad part will be if they can figure out who sent it - that person will be sent a bill for the interruption caused. Could be a bit pricy!
