Why we don't line them up against the wall and shoot them, I'll never know. These scum don't appreciate what it means to live in this country. Its just as well they love a sadistic dictatorship more than the land of the free even while they assault the brave who protect their vile attempts to promote their anti-Americanism on our shores.

Here is the full post hero. What is mitigating about that? So those that "hate the land of the free" should be mowed down like cattle for doing stupid protests that can be dispersed like they were- with bean bags and plastic bullets? These people are nuts- but if I saw Cops "line them up against a wall and shoot them" I would have a problem and might reconsider the legitmacy of my government. Sadaam "lines people up"- we don't. We have something called law- now scurry off.

I'm all for giving them a trial. The problem is they don't get charged with ANYTHING. They're given a couple of hours in the local jail which is like a badge of honor to them and they don't bear the consequences of their anti-American hooliganism. Who pays for their partying against America? Why, the rest of us. Its they who need to scurry off and be told the free ride is over.

I read the full post . If you dont have a clue I appreciate the passion . How in the hell do you expect me to reply with common sense when it is clear that you choose to reply with emotions ?

I dont add salt to my food Burke/a . A single poster made the comment with a conviction you dont appear to be able to know . So fricking what .

Dont twist and contort the issue . You claim these people are nuts but you have the grace of sitting on your ass and choose to apply an emotional diatribe to render a specific result .

You look like a single issue voter to me . Hero .

Strongly suggest you look up the statutes regarging sabotage during wartime (and, yes, interfering with the shipment of supplies to the Armed Forces is defined as sabotage, and, yes, the usual penalty at law for sabotage during wartime is death, US 8 14-15, 19, among other sections, if I'm not mistaken, and, yes, these penalties have been applied during 'undeclared' wars.).

Please don't offer that tired stuff about 'undeclared wars' being exceptional as regards law; the US Congress has declared war exactly 5 times in history...but our various armed services have been committed to cause on more than 200 other occasions. And, the Supreme Court has upheld every single sentence incurred by such 'free speech' advocates under such circumstances, as well they should have done.

FR is a bit of a schizophrenic site. You'll see "line 'em up and shoot 'em" posts about leftists of various stripes, and you'll see posters going absolutely ballistic over such government misdeeds as Waco and Ruby Ridge.

I suspect that there are posters out there whose worldview encompasses both positions, and who fail to see the paradox, if not outright hypocrisy, holding such views.

Like I said, a bit schizophrenic.

I agree, but "dispersing the crowd" is not enough.

There are organizers of these rallies, just as there were in the Vietnam era. These people need to be caught, jailed, and tried for sedition.

There were many here calling for the arrest of di Genova at Columbia U., who was simply voicing his (admittedly nauseating) opinion. That is wrong.

But these people are DELIBERATELY inciting riot, for the express purpose of impeding the legally constituted government of this nation. There ought to be a penalty for that. Perhaps you can't arrest five thousand people, but you can arrest five dozen, and make them an example.

I think his original post was over the top, but I can't dismiss what they are doing as simple protests easily dispersed.

This country has been tolerating their lawlessness for way too long (remember Seattle).

I am not for shooting them outright, but I think it is long overdue that America does more to police the utter lawlessness that takes place at some of these peace 'protests'.

Protests are one thing. Destruction of property and the denial of the constitutional rights of others and the interference with people being able to do their jobs is quite another. And being overly permissive with these whackjobs in the name of free speech is merely letting them get more and more aggressive.
