I'm sure her roommate Pfc. Lynch will be sure they are well cared for when the hollywood bunch make her rich for her movie rights. A trust fund for her kids is a noble cause and I'm sure it's in the works. If not, I trust you will stay on top of it, till it is.

You may be able to contact these groups and they may be able to ear-mark the money to a specific family. You might check the local press in El-Paso to see if there are any funds set up specifically for the troops.

As for the press and whatnot, I agree that they should shut up about having bullets fired near them. As Rumsfeld and several people have said, they are in a warzone.

But, with what Shep is talking about are emails he received saying "screw the journalists" and "I don't care if they die" and stuff like that. That ignorant for people to write that especially when they are bitching about people they are relying on to get the news from the theater of combat.

Shep pointed out that these journalists are in a war-zone and that they had Iraqi officials there threatening their lives. He was dodging that question. But, I do agree with you that the reporters who are bitching that a round got fired into that hotel need to shut up. We are on total agreement with that.
