Operation Iraqi Freedom
This thread is dedicated to the brave men and women of the
Armed Forces of the United States of America.
"Wish You Were Here"
For all the free people that still protest.
You're welcome. We protect you and you are protected by the best.
Your voice is strong and loud,
but who will fight for you? No one standing in your crowd.
We are your fathers, brothers, and sons,
wearing the boots and carrying guns.
We are the ones that leave all we own,
to make sure your future is carved in stone.
We are the ones who fight and die,
We might not be able to save the world, Well, at least we try.
We walked the paths to where we are at
and we want no choice other than that.
so when you rally your group to complain,
take a look in the back of your brain.
In order for that flag you love to fly
wars must be fought and young men must die.
We came here to fight for the ones we hold dear.
If that's not respected, we would rather stay here.
So please stop yelling, put down your signs,
and pray for those behind enemy lines.
When the conflict is over and all is well,
be thankful that we chose to go through hell.
Corporal Joshua Miles and all the boys from 3rd Battalion 2nd Marines,
Kuwait 3/9/2003

Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - Situation Room - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A brief description of what the graphic is would help! If you post graphics, please "size" them so that our browsers continue to load the rest of the thread!

Special thanks to Null and Void for keeping these threads running on the weekends, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, Ragtime Cowgirl for her Exclusive Live Transcription Service, Fledermaus for his 15 minutes of fame, and, of course, Belly Girl...

When I hear about the "innocent civilians" killed, I want an accounting for how many we actually killed. AAA has to come down and the thugs killed more of their own and forced others to attack us and die.
Then ask the Iraqi people what they think about the price of those lives for their freedom. We lost a heck of a lot more than that in our revolution in 1776.
I bet they'll consider it a small price to pay for a free life.

Ummh...that was Carter who stopped all production on the B Series planes.

uh...uh...Is there a public list of doners? lol Nope.
There are lists which one may add their name to as "dollar a day" or "monthly donors." This listing is at the choice of the donor.
Forgive me. What is funny?

Glad to help. I posted the following to Jim Robinson on the Freepathon Thread.
"Thank you Jim, this site has become an intregal part of a lot of lives. It is also making an outstanding difference to our way of life as a nation."
"Can't ask for more than that!"

That's funny, now that it's successful I've read where the B-1 was started under Carter. Or was that the stealth program?

Ok, in that Fox clip with COmbover saying the "Game is Over", does anyone else hear his cellphone ringing?? EVERYTIME they play that tape I get up to answer my cell phone as it has the same ring!

Heh. You know there must be a Saddam on black velvet in one of those palaces. I really do believe that the vain Hollywood sillies liked Saddam because he praised them. Same with Castro. "You like me, President Torturer, you really like me!"
Funny that Conan brought up The In-Laws. Doesn't Bin Laden remind you of the "Si Senior" crazy dictator ("Z" scar, talks to hand, has paintings on black velvet)? He also appreciated poetry and chamber music....another sensitive, artistic leftist. The camera sees all. (^:

That's all?
We are losing this war.

The British have examined the Al Rashid hotel and feel the Iraqis killed those reporters upon further examination. At any rate, the liberals aren't happy unless they are able to push their agenda further. They can't ruin this day. It was fantastic. PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!!!!
To: lavrenti
I love this...what a difference an administraion makes.

Bah! The sarcasm blew right past me. I see several "look who must be lurking!" comments daily to which I roll my eyes. Not saying there aren't lurkers, but, not to the extent of our fantasies.
Sorry for the snide reply, I just missed the /sarcasm.
