Operation Iraqi Freedom
This thread is dedicated to the brave men and women of the
Armed Forces of the United States of America.
"Wish You Were Here"
For all the free people that still protest.
You're welcome. We protect you and you are protected by the best.
Your voice is strong and loud,
but who will fight for you? No one standing in your crowd.
We are your fathers, brothers, and sons,
wearing the boots and carrying guns.
We are the ones that leave all we own,
to make sure your future is carved in stone.
We are the ones who fight and die,
We might not be able to save the world, Well, at least we try.
We walked the paths to where we are at
and we want no choice other than that.
so when you rally your group to complain,
take a look in the back of your brain.
In order for that flag you love to fly
wars must be fought and young men must die.
We came here to fight for the ones we hold dear.
If that's not respected, we would rather stay here.
So please stop yelling, put down your signs,
and pray for those behind enemy lines.
When the conflict is over and all is well,
be thankful that we chose to go through hell.
Corporal Joshua Miles and all the boys from 3rd Battalion 2nd Marines,
Kuwait 3/9/2003

Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - Situation Room - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A brief description of what the graphic is would help! If you post graphics, please "size" them so that our browsers continue to load the rest of the thread!

All these reporters are like a Hydra from the Greek myth. Every day Rummy bites their fool heads off, the next day the heads have grown back, dumb as ever. Poor Rummy. He must spend half his days flossing bits of reporter out of his teeth.

Ya know, the war plan was great, the strategy, and the flexibility of our troops was wondeful, but whoever decided to do the "thunder run" on Saturday, when the first armored column took a tour of Bagdad, well, he's a genius....that showed that the whole city and the regime was week..it probably avoided two weeks of combat and thousands of casualities...I hope we find out who thought it up..
To: Dog
Are you sure that's not wind? I couldn't get any sound on MSNBC so I switched to NTV

Listen to these questions! Seems, that the next liberal line is the old "we're losing the peace" canard.
Now asking about Iran and Syria for God's sake!

Question about Iran
Rummy: Iraq? maybe?
Hahahahaha!

I love this picture...I saved that issue of VANITY FAIR :).
These people are such giants, every one...the Clintonistas look so...small and tiny...by contrast. I hope that history will show the Clinton era was simply an aberration, a "holiday from history," and we never go back to that kind of small-minded, mendacious administration.
To all in the Bush Adminstration: Job well done.

Also by John Dingell. It used to be only by John Dingell. Redistricting split the city in half.
