Of course you put it exactly right -- they aren't really "seeing" it........they are forced to report what is on the screen in front of the whole world.

Does anybody know what the "futures" are doing at the Stock exchange? They were down significantly, but just spiked up.

That poor kid on Sky News. I don't think he is sure what to say.

Argh! I wish that guy would put his helmet back on. I don't want to sit here and watch him get sniped. I'm so paranoid now.... too many war movies.
To: Conan the Librarian
But it would be satistfying to see a 120mm round go through the statues face. But don't you get it? This is not about my satisfact, or yours? This is about and for the Iraqi people. We have reason to be proud, sure. But handing the reins over is wise, and the correct thing to do.

And some grim bas&^%ds will say the soviets rolled into Kabul the same way but were forced to leave after years of "Resistance".
I think a better analogy is Berlin, at least the US zone after WWII. Can you IMAGINE if the French and Russkies were with us now, partitioning Baghdad and rest of country. All the saddamites would be fleeing to their sectors and *** NO ONE *** would be celebrating out of fear of the remaining evildoers.

Heard on CFRB that we have a Canadian KIA. Was operating with U.S. forces. That's all I got. Don't expect the moron from Shawinigan to acknowledge it, mind you. B*stard Chretien, I hate him.

CNN still live at a battle: 1st Batillion, 7th Marines, in Baghdad, at a bridge. They are in the city. One of those pockets of resistance. Pray for our troops, folks. This is still a hairy place.
Prayers up! Many answered right now!!
To: oldngray
What a sense of pride I feel at this moment. First, thank you for your service to our country. I,too, am feeling so so proud of these troops, and President Bush for having the courage to lead the way. I'm just feeling so much emotion that they have arrived and the people are finally free!!!
I have CNN Int'l which is showing the Statue feed--they just panned into a group holding a banner that they *thought* said "Go Home USA", but when the feed showed the banner said "GO HOME HUMAN SHIELDS USA WANKERS" the anchors shut up and the camera panned back out to the crowd and that was quickly shut up. Liberal pigs.
