President Bush ended his visit to Northern Ireland today as he met one last time with British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Irish Prime Minister Bertie Ahern. The war in Iraq was still the focus of their meeting, particularly the question of whether or not Saddam Hussein is still alive after coalition forces used four bunker buster bombs on a restaurant where Hussein was alleged to be. Discussions also took place regarding post war Iraq and the evolving Mideast peace plan. President Bush returned to the White House late this afternoon. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Those pics are awesome! I love the one of the woman dancing in the streets, and the one of the boy hugging the soldier. They're all so great! They're finally free, and so happy!

He looks content - like he got his way with Tony re the U.N. All I heard was Powell say that the UN would basically be given responsibility for feeding the people - period!

Thanks for the dose, tonight. Been busy, but finally got to check in. What a bizarre day in the war.
Bush and Blair's news conference today was great. Did anyone notice how they managed to place Blair in front of a U.S. Flag and Bush in front of a British flag? Thought that was interesting. LOVED when Bush described the fingers loosening, one by one, off the neck of the Iraqi people. Prime cowboy stuff.

Chriac, Putin, and Schroeder are meeting in Russia. Chriac said today in a press conference that the US should have NOTHING to do with post war Iraq. They are going to DEMAND the UN take over!!!!! Can you believe the nerve of these people?????? Do they think they are going to push George W. around. He said the UN can provide food and water (not quite in those words) in today's press conference. Do those three countries think they can do anything more to destroy relations with the US. What morons!!!!

Hey SevenofNine -
I'm concerned about the meeting of Chirac, Schroeder, Putin and Annan coming up. I'm wondering if those 4 are up to something - and whatever it is, I'm praying GOD will intervene and expose the truth of it.
Powell has kept saying the UN's role will be humanitarian only - and the UN will not have any control over Iraq.
Chirac has been mouthing all day about the UN being the only one who should have any control over Iraq.
Have you heard any comments ...??

Did you hear about the ad in the SF Chron re impeaching Bush ... well, the public went ballistic, and apparently 63% were supporting Bush and felt the ad was inappropriate and out of line.
Poor dems - they still don't get it.

That was such a great statement because Powell said it to a highly placed clergyman - but I'm not sure where or who - and the interesting thing was that the clergyman was commenting on America being imperialistic, and Powell retorted with the remark, America has always been willing to send her men and women to die for the cause of freedom; all we have ever ask in return is enough land upon which to bury those who could not return. I heard there was dead silence in the room!
