I suggest you learn a little modern middle east history (1900-current) before defending it. Thanks for the advice. Now, what part of my comment is historically inaccurate?

Your whole statement!
"Israel has no better friend than the US government, and more importantly the American people. I suggest that everyone give this process a bit more time to develop before condeming it."
Particularly the last sentence.
This "process" is a sham, and an Arab incrementalist step towards destroying Israel.
The PLO was founded 3.5 years BEFORE the 1967 war, with the express purpose of destroying Israel. Arafat (Egyptian by birth - not "Palestinian"), so the PLO couldn't have been charged with ending the so-called "occupation" of the Samaria and Judea ("the West Bank") and Gaza... since they were at the time parts of Egypt and Jordan.
Also, there is no such thing as a Palestinian people. Palestine was the designation the Romans gace to the land in order to try to de-Judaize it. They named it after the long-extinct Phillistines, who BTW weren't Arabs, either. They were Hellenic seafaring people.
There has never been a Palestinian state because there were never historically Palestinians. It's a recent invention. Let's hear it for the 60's. :(
If you disagree, do some research and tell me...
Who are some great Palestinian leaders in history?
Where was the capital of a past Palestinian state? What were it's borders? What were it's major cities?
