Do you believe the solution is resettling the 3 million Palestinians to Jordan? If the answer is yes, and Jordan rejects the idea, what should we do next?

Take another look at the map that I posted in #127. Look at all the land that is occupied by Israel. Then look at all the land that is occupied by the surrounding countries. Why is it an atrocity to resettle 3 million people, currently living in abject squalor, amongst other people with whom they share a common language, religion and heritage, not to mention millions of square miles of undeveloped prime real estate?

Oh, so it's not "what they want." But "what they want" is a "Palestine" that includes all of Israel, once all the Jews have been driven out. They want all of Haifa, all of Jerusalem, and all of Tel Aviv. They don't want a "Palestinian state," they want what the Jews have. Should they be allowed to continue to believe that eventually they will get what they want?

Why is it so unreasonable and a "crime against humanity" to recommend that the Arabs open their hearts and welcome their brothers the way the Israelis welcome their fellow Jews?

So what's a better and more humane option, to continue to live in a squalid refugee camp hoping that eventually you will move into that Jew's house in Netanya, or to move to a nice new subdivision in the democracy formerly known as Iraq?

Israel is a democracy and is made up of citizens that are Jews,Muslim Arabs, and Christians. If current demographic trends continue, Jews will be a minority in Israel by 2020. For democracy to survive and flourish in Israel, we must move beyond "what the Jews have", and consider the future of Israel and all it's people.

That's the first time I have seen that suggestion, concerning Iraq. Has there been anything written on this in the media?

I'm astonished to read the disgusting drivel here calling the expulsion of millions of people from their homes a "humane" and "just" solution. You folks are a bunch of Nazis and Communists! Hitler and Stalin, the worlds foremost experts on this behavior, would have been proud!

Every human has a right to their own home, and to live where they were born. How difficult is that to understand.

Why is it an atrocity to resettle 3 million people, currently living in abject squalor, amongst other people with whom they share a common language, religion and heritage, not to mention millions of square miles of undeveloped prime real estate?

Because Alouette, you freaking moron, its a flipping war crime to move people against their will from their homes and land. We currently term these things mass explsions and ethnic cleansing. We are presently prosecuting a vile bunch of Serbian criminals for carrying out these very acts, just like we went after the Nazis for doing it. Do you want the rest of the civilized world to have to attack Israel to discipline them for doing the same things?

There are 21 Muslim Arab countries full of empty land.

Because its a flipping desert and has been for 5000 years! Cripes! How stupid do you think the rest of us are? Empty lands my foot! If they are such lovely empty lands, why not move the Jews there, and let the Palestinians stay where they are? No I'm sure you'd never suggest that, because the whole notion of forcibly removing millions of people is un-American and disgusting.

Israelis and Palestinians need to figure out how they are going to live together where they are. The world is not about to countenance the expulsion of either group from where they presently sit. If they can't do so, they deserve the coontinuing bloodshed they are causing to each other and should be thrown some weapons and left alone to go at each other's throats, like a group of rival drug gangs in a turf war. The rest of the world cannot possibly lose from allowing that to happen. Maybe after enough of the extremists are killed, the rest of you can sit down and be rational.
