Call me sick, call me obsessed, but I hope the news turns out to be right because there would be something particularly satisfying about knowing that
that particular bomb (or one of the four, anyway) dropped from
that particular plane, aimed with specific intent at Saddam, took him out, as opposed to finding him dead of wounds inflicted by an unidentified party.
It shouldn't make a difference -- he'll be just as dead either way -- but somehow it does make a difference.

B-1 Bob Dornan will be particularly pleased if this was the plane that took out Saddam.
And on the other hand, poor Ol' Jimma Carter, the guy that tried to cancel the B-1, will again be proven the utter fool he is and will remain till his last days.
