...very good intelligence "on the ground" (that means a person, I guess) that a high level meeting was supposed to take place at a certain location and that Saddam and his sons were believed to be at that meeting.

Makes me wonder, though. Right now any Iraqi with a vendetta against another Iraqi can go up to the nearest Marine, say "Saddam's in that house over there," then sit back and watch the place blow up real good.

MSNBC is going with the story, and Fox and CNN are both in talk shows (Hannity/Colmes and Larry King) and have not seen fit to interrupt the conversations. yet.

Has anyone seen our old buddy Tariq "Larry Tate" Aziz since the war started? I always figured that as a diplomat, he's long since made tons of friends in the State Department to save his own ass.

Baghdad Bob has been the last one standing for quite some time.

The Iraqi people are gonna want to see DNA evidence just to make sure.

Somehow, I feel that the Iraqi man-on-the-street is less well versed in DNA evidence than the OJ jury.

Those great philosophers Simon and Garfunkel said it best:

"A man believes what he wants to believe and disregards the rest."

Speer spent the remainder of his life in solitary confinement in Spandau prison. "Prosper" isn't the word that trips off my tongue.
