According to National Review Online, "Last Wednesday, Columbia University assistant professor Nicholas DeGenova told the audience at a faculty-led antiwar teach-in that he wished 'for a million Mogadishus' to visit U.S. soldiers fighting in Iraq." According to the Columbia University biography of DeGenova, his teaching focuses on "transnational urban conjunctural spaces that link the U.S. and Latin America as a standpoint of critique from which to interrogate U.S. nationalism, political economy, racialized citizenship, and immigration law." DeGenova has appeared at several open-borders conferences as a panelist and his writing has been highly critical of immigration enforcement. He is also scheduled to speak at a Brecht Forum event April 3. The discussion, titled "The New Internments" focuses on detention of illegal aliens under the NSEERS program. The Brecht Forum says, "In the hysteria that the Bush administration has continued to foment for over a year in its push for the continued militarization of the globe, a gutted constitution, and a ghoulish vision of endless war, immigrants in the U.S. have been disappeared and deported at alarming rates."

What Rocker said was stupid but what DeGenova said in IMHO was a thousand times worst. He can say what he wants but why isn't the mainstream/elite media digging into his mindset of anti-Americanism and treasonous open-border promotions. The media went ballistic on Rocker didn't they? Maybe because this DeGenova guy is coming off as a sixties style counterculture "intellectual" (socialist) they're laying off of him. Wouldn't suprise me if many in the George McGovern press agree with him.

Funny thing, this guy wants to destroy the U.S., and I want to destroy the liberal stranglehold on our educational system. We need to think of ways to put real pressure on the universities and teachers unions, pressure them to seek out and recruit only conservatives for the next twenty years or so. Various methods could include anything from petitioning those inclined to fund universities, to public protests at those universities, to anything else legal and effective in bringing pressure to bear.
I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm sick to death of seeing our entire educational system being run by Marxists. It would do my heart a world of good to see some new teachers come along, people who have had real jobs in the real world, and done real things with their lives. Not fools who have wasted their days sucking up platitudes from the swill trough of socialism, but businessmen and soldiers and craftsmen and scientists who have actually produced something real in this world.

Putting little nickie in juxtaposition with Rocker is marvelous. If Rocker overshot with his mouth and then failed to show up to play ball, he would have been fired or seriously disciplined. Little Nickie is a professor who shot off his mouth, but he doesn't show up to do his job, which is to meet with his classes. Fire him for dereliction of duties. He needs to be the poster boy of political peckerhead faculty pricks who are finally caught in their perfidy.

Fire him for dereliction of duties. It would be wonderful to see this guy fired from his job, problem is within a month he'd be showing up at CNN or PBS as a "contributor". Guys like him never go away, they get promoted.
Rocker... he'd be lucky to get a job cleaning horse stables, he's too politically incorrect for the intellectuals at the networks (well maybe not Fox lol).
