Bush lands in N.Ireland for Iraq talks with Blair
BELFAST, April 7 (Reuters) - U.S. President George W. Bush flew into Belfast on Monday for talks about the Iraq war with his staunchest global ally, British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
Bush's Air Force One jet touched down at a military air-strip outside the capital of Northern Ireland at around 1720 GMT.
Blair flew in earlier at about 1630 GMT and waited for Bush at Hillsborough Castle, south of Belfast, which is the official residence of London's minister for the British-run province.
The pair were to dine together on Monday ahead of meetings on Tuesday on an ambitious war and peace agenda that will include efforts to advance peace processes in both the Middle East and Northern Ireland.
