DUBAI (AFP) - Iraqi satellite television has been off the air since Sunday evening amid intense fighting between Iraqi forces and US troops inside Baghdad.

No picture or sound was being picked up Monday from the satellite channel, whose programming had been interrupted only for brief periods since the war began March 20.

However, state television was on the air as normal in Baghdad. Youth Television, run by President Saddam Hussein's elder son Uday, has been silent since a missile attack late last month on the information ministry.

I hope this time it will STAY off the air, until WE start to broadcast.

I was really getting tired of their propaganda, but which is worse, as long as the Iraqi people saw that the TV station is still under the control of Saddam's regime, they assumed everything else was still in his control as well, which discouraged them from rising up against Saddam's henchmen.

Oh, Shuckey Darn, just as I was going to watch my favorite show, the "Baghdad Bob Comedy Hour". I wanted to see him being interviewed by Private Jones, Smith, and a host of other "Reporters" from the US Military Press Corps.
