Why does Baghdad have palms on both sides of the street?
So Charlie Company can roll by in the shade.

I'm really feeling deprived. I haven't heard the words "quagmire" and "elite" for so long now I'm having withdrawal seizures.

I have suspected Tariq Aziz of being up to something and this is from afar. It doesn't surprise me that the paranoid inner circle might find him suspicious, but it would surprise if they hadn't killed him under these circumstances.

That's going to prove difficult, since they still haven't found the car. They're trying to hitch a free ride

First...Dr. Bob Arnot coming up on MSNBC ( prolly with his amphibs)
____________
Did you know Saddam had the sculptor use his own forearms as the model for the arches? (That's what they claim). On the day it was dedicated, he rode through the arches on a white horse. And...The day before the first bombing run on Bhagdad during the 1991 Gulf War, Iraqi TV showed a mass of Iraqi soldiers marching beneath the huge crossed swords of the Victory Arch, to the theme music from 'Star Wars'. LOL!

I've been wondering whose brainstorm the embedded reporters idea was. Can you give more (thumbnail is great) info on this being Torie Clarke's idea?

I hear 'ya, anyone know what the next "talking points" will be from the DNC?? I heard on Tony Snow's show on Sunday, I think it was the Iraq ambassador, whining about unfair it was that we had such an advanced military and that the Iraqi army was no match for us, that there was no need for us to send in as much forces as we did, we should have made it a fairer match????? What a maroon, we haven't even thrown everything we have at them yet!
To: bray
Hey, thanks for the info. I'm cubical bound and starved for information.
So, the injuries were actually inside the palace and not in the brigade TOC? Was that the impression you had?
