Nobody has a right to force me as a motorist to become part of their protest by blocking the road on which I am driving. I don't care what the subject of a demonstration is, even if I agree with the demonstrators -- Anyone who blocks traffic should be run over by at least one vehicle just for being a pain in the @ss.
