Ivan: FWIW, I sent an e-mail to the president of Columbia saying that De Genova should be FIRED. I got an answer saying that he (De Genova) didn't make the statements about Mogadishu as a professor, but rather as a private citizen and that they felt freedom of speech disallowed them from taking action, although they felt his statements were deplorable. I do disagree with the premise that all evil practiced by the Arabs is western. A short study of history shows that democratic states started in the West but despotic states cover the whole earth and are equal opportunity political systems run by despots no matter what time in history, or what race, color or national origin.
