Outstanding. I refuse to watch any other network but Fox because their embeds are either veterans(Ollie and Greg Kelly), or respect the troops(Rick Leventhal).

I think this has opened the eyes of many embedded journalists. Only good things can result from that.

This was posted over a week ago:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/878317/posts I didn't really like this article much when I read it in the past, and I like it even less now.
He mocks reporters for being so self-focused, but what does he write about? He writes about the press. If most of us spent time with the 82d Airborne in the last few weeks, we'd find way too many stories of real heroism to waste time bashing reporters.
Overall I like the embedded reporter system -- it brings us good reports from the front line. And it's bringing some new respect for the military to press rooms all over the country.

Actually, my prior comment didn't come out sounding right. When I said "this was posted before" I didn't intend to say that you made a double post, and I'm sorry if it sounded that way. I meant to say that this reporter seems to be re-cycling his own writing and saying basically the same thing he's said in the past -- he's writing the same dreary column over and over.

AEI rocks.

I didn't know Kelly is a vet. Where and when did he serve?

I think the embedded journalists are going to move up the ladder quickly in the profession!
