"Appearing to enjoy his role as Commander in Chief of the armed forces above all other functions of his office, and unchecked by a seemingly timid Congress, a compliant Supreme Court, a largely subservient press and a corrupt corporate plutocracy, George W. Bush has set the nation on a course for one-man rule." Sure Georgie (you Nth degree loser), Bush, The Supremes, Congress, The Press, Business, and 75% of America are all stupid. Only you are the genius here. Only you stand between us and the stone age. Thanks jerk, go back to your golf green. Idiot.
BTW a$$hole, we gave peace a chance and we wound up with the events of 9/11.

After listening to his present fellow Democrats in government, one would have to conclude George McGovern now sounds somewhat to the right of the "mainstream" of the Democrat Party. One could today hardly posit him on it's leftward fringe, like in 1972.
Speaking of praying for deliverance, all Americans ought to be thanking the Lord every day this nitwit never got to be President! Who says our fervent prayers weren't answered?

He talks a lot, says nothing. Where's the substance? Beside metaphysical, philosophical, theological babble there is nothing said. No facts, just emotions covered in a veil of colorful and elaborate text based on a thin sheet of past experience, large extrapolation or an assumption. This is good sounding fluff that deserves an "F" in content.

Hi, I'm George McGovern, victim of the worst defeat in presidential history. My opinions were obsolete before they left my mouth, and that was 30 years ago. Now I'm so out of date I get my news from stone tablets. But since I'm anti-war, suddenly the Left thinks I'm relevant again. However, I'm a desiccated mummy who belongs in a crypt, not the limelight.

In another lifetime I think I voted for this idiot I'm sorry to say I carried a sign for him, luckily I was a year too young to vote.
By '76, I was a Libertarian, so missed voting for Carter. By '80, I was a Reaganite and never looked back.

Jeez, it would take hours to dissect the bitter diatribe line by line and expose the lies and name calling that it is. But I guess that is the point of modern liberalism; tell lies faster than the enemy can disprove them...JFK

Hey! That's not kind at all about his daughter.
I detest his politics and think this article in the Nation is at least borderline delusional, but he wrote an excellent and honest book about his daughter, her problems, and his love for her. Read it and show a little human kindness. Someday someone in your family may have problems you can't figure out how to heal.

What a whackjob. Liberals should be made to watch the Daniel Pearl video a few times, with sound.

This pile of cr*p reminds me why, even to this day, even after the Watergate Scandal and Nixon's disgraceful acts which forced him from office, I'll always consider it an HONOR that I had a chance to vote against George McGovern and would do so again, and again, and again. Maybe if George was running against Bill Clinton, I'd have to reconsider... But that's the only match-up I can think of that would give me pause.

(Let me note that the son of South Dakota Senator Tim Johnson is now on duty in the Persian Gulf. He did not use his obvious political connections to avoid military service, nor did his father seek exemptions for his son. That goes well with me, with my fellow South Dakotans and with every fair-minded American.) "Senator" Tim Johnson had to make up for stealing the South Dakota election somehow. ;-)

After all, I have passed the 80 mark... Poor old senile George put the Depends on the wrong end... ;-)

I couldn't get past the first paragraph... I had to force myself to continue once I decided to post it. Still, I could only skim the last third. I think it's important to see the vile, bitter tropes the left lap up.

This article will reduce even the strongest stomach to a heaving, convulsing, barfapalooza.. I was hoping that, (HURLING CHUNKS BARF ALERT), would have pretty much covered it.
Next Time:

These types of articles are feel good articles. They do not address the things that are on the minds of most Americans though.
The thing we want to know is how can we put a STOP to the terrorism. We don't want to know how we are causing pain in the Arab world, or how nice people treat other nice people, WE WANT IT TO STOP! The libs just do not get it. They don;t address the FACT that our enemies who reside in terrorist camps in these countries are working for our destruction.
I find it also arrogant that a WWII veteran can somehow feel proud for being in a world changing campaign, and yet deny this current generation the opportunity to change things for the better.
