Iraqi Information Minister Mohammed Saeed al-Sahaf said that U.S.-led forces have not crossed the Tigris River and are not approaching Baghdad. But they have lost significant numbers of troops and equipment, he said.

Are we sure this isn't Chris LeHane in disguise? It sure sounds like a Bill Clinton, Al Gore or Gray Davis press release to me.

In Afghanistan the Russian used to drop dolls, toys, and yes pens that would explode when picked up. These were carefully designed not to kill but to just remove a limb or an eye.

I almost hope that this guy is doing this, because his wife and children are being held hostage by the regime. That way, he could probably spend minimal time in prison. Then he could come to the U.S. and make a small fortune doing bit-part comedy and replacing Carrot Top on the 1-800-Call-ATT ads.

Iraqi Information Minister Mohammed Saeed al-Sahaf said that U.S.-led forces have not crossed the Tigris River and are not approaching Baghdad. "They are not even in Iraq. They all took a wrong turn near Zanzibar and are huddled in a Billy Boy parking lot looking at road maps."

Al-Sahaf, speaking mostly in English for the first time since the war began, issued a list of civilian areas he said the coalition had bombarded, enumerating casualties in villages and neighborhoods. Does this mean they have given up on trying to inflame a world wide jihad to save their sorry butts, and now are only trying to sway Westerners.
