I'm still trying to understand why an F18 or another Apache didn't destroy that thing ... no matter what brought it down ...
To: MattGarrett
They said it was destroyed, apparently not.

Hmmm. I'm torn.
Blast the wreck and the idiots who are parading it as a trophy?
Recover it when Bhagdad falls?
I can't make up my mind!

Why did Centcom say the blasted it when that sure as heel looks like the Apache on a flatbed, unless the Iraqis faked it. I think thats the apache that was shot down. Of course I don't know when this photo was taken.
Note the weapons have been stripped.

And it's not to late to do that while it's on the truck.

Recover it when Bhagdad falls? The Chinese have picked it clean already.

Seems the hellfires are missing. Could this now be in the hands of the Russian advisors? or the Chinese?
Most importantly, the avionics would be the biggest compromise.

the rotor blades are missing on the top picture..How could they have towed that to Baghdad past our convoy..Its not the same chopper
To: finnman69
I would love to see some live shots of our boys taking out one of these neanderthal parades.
Even better, storm in on one of that idiot MISinformation minister's propaganda sessions, knocking that silly hat off his peckerhead, then turning to the mic and saying, "ALL YOUR BAGHDAD BELONG TO U.S.!!!!!!!!!!"

The Chinese have picked it clean already. You're right. Blast the wreck and anybody standing near it.

More than one Apache has gone down.
To: vigilante2
I see the blades, they are folded back.

Downed Apache paraded in Baghdad on a truckWell, even if the Iraqis have the Apache and are parading it around Baghdad on the back of a truck, there's no chance that it's going to end up in China or Russia or North Korea. First, it obviously isn't in flying condition, and second, how would the Iraqis get it out of Iraq with the U.S. controlling all airspace over Baghdad and over most of Iraq.
