BRITISH troops yesterday grabbed an Iraqi thug said to have executed two of Our Boys.

Bearded Khalid Barour, a senior Ba’ath Party official and a top aide of Saddam’s, was caught at a checkpoint near Al Zubayr in southern Iraq.

He was last night being questioned over the deaths of Staff Sergeant Simon Cullingworth, 36, and Sapper Luke Allsopp, 24.

The pair were ambushed by Iraqi forces. It was later claimed they had been executed after being dragged from their Land Rover.

Barour, who is in his 40s, was arrested after being stopped at a roadblock in a chauffeur-driven white Toyota.

Local informants have already implicated him in the suspicious circumstances surrounding the soldiers’ deaths.

Major Jonny Bowron, of the Light Infantry, said last night:

“Inquiries are ongoing.

“We knew who we were looking for and this man and his father are significant people we want to talk to.”

Barour’s driver wept as he was held at gunpoint by the soldiers. But he was later cleared of any involvement in the soldiers’ deaths and released.

Barour was forced to kneel on the ground and subjected to a humiliating search at the side of the road by British Light Infantry troops.

The soldiers who took him into custody were clearly aware he had been named over the deaths of their comrades.

When he tried to stand up he was forced roughly back down and a squaddie barked orders at him to keep still.

Simon and Luke were killed after their ten-vehicle British convoy was shot-up on the road to Al Zubayr.

Their bodies were later sickeningly paraded in front of TV cameras.

That would be the ideal policy; let the freed Iraquis try their own war criminals for their crimes against the people. If there's anything left then we or the Brits get to try them.

I was pushing this a couple of weeks ago. That avoids American and Eurotrash left wing lawyers, the UN and countries against the death penalty.

Now O'Reilly is pushing this and even has a poll on his website.

Of course our trial lawyers, the UK's trial lawyers and the Eurotrash countries want these POS tried in Europe for the money, the publicity and for them to avoid the death penalty.

Turn them over to the Kurds if they committed crimes against the Kurds. If they committed crimes against the Iraqis, turn them over to the Iraqis. That brave Iraqi lawyer who save Jessica's life would be a good man to present the cases against these clymers in court.
