Got it.
There was one discussion on Fox last night that showed a gap of -- well, I was going to say "just", but then I caught myself, realizing what are military must do to get through "just" -- about 7-9 miles between the Airport and the Presidential Palace where the Tigris bends.

If that is what the Iraqi people want .. it's fine by me ..
After all these years, they have every right to beat him to a pulp

>>An international court would be a farce.
You are right. 2 years later, they'd still be arguing about where each nation's prosecutor should sit, and Saddam would have morphed into some kind of Arab Mandela, and the leftists would be calling for his return as the "rightful ruler (at least HE was elected!)" of Iraq.
Sweat him for a week, then give him to the new government to be hanged or beheaded on live TV.

OK maybe I am seeing things but that just looked like a squad of troop (about 5) that just MARCHED by on the sidewalk.I saw that too. Looked like at least 5 pairs of people marching along. Went from lower left up around the circle. I thought the same thing when I saw it... looks like TROOPS.

what military comment? ... please refresh my memory, thanks. Throughout Shep's gig he apologized and noted technical difficulties, uplinks, etc. But his last comment before he left mentioned going back to the two embeds pending technical AND military permission. Military was a new reason.
Since Oliver's first report about casualties, etc., we haven't heard from him again. And we don't hear from the embed with the 3rd anymore too. Just some of his earlier footage, and just a bit.

Fox just ran video from this morning inside Baghdad. Hi-rises a block away from the street they were rolling down.

I think military permission to broadcast has always been a condition. It just hasn't been highlighted.

Is Geraldo out of country?
Haven't seen him since a day or so ago when the "He's kicked out", "No, he's not" stories were bandied about.

I think those were the first shots from actually inside URBAN Baghdad. Gray 2-story duplexes along the boulevard, 6+ story gray apartments behind.

I respect the sacrifice, but I thought the music selected by CNN was cheesy and just trying to replicate a mood not generally felt by whoever set up the clip.
To: Chummy
Yep .. he was sent back to Kuwait

Brother, these a-holes are going to have the rude awakening of their liberal lives come 2004... It's gonna be a slaughter. I can barely wait to call ol' Senator Dash'n-sh*t's office: "Hello, Senator?... Yes, I just wanted to tell you, sir, that I am deeply, deeply saddened... and concerned that you lost... BWAH-HAW-HAW-HAW-HAW-HAW!!!!

The Colonel who was relieved was named Joe Dowdy ..I believe one of the recent listed as KIA is last name Dowdy...could they be related?
To: Tree of Liberty
Greg Kelly's unit drove through Baghdad (from the east) to get to the airport. Really ballsy.
