A funny story emailed me from a friend who recently moved to Hawaii and has been concerned about the terrorist threats from AQ announced against Pearl Harbor.
Aloha!
Boy do I have a story for you....those of you from Hawaii will get a great chuckle.....late last night, @2am, our dog starts barking like I have never heard him bark before, and a noise had woken us both up. (hubby was working the night shift) I couldn't really remember what the noise was that woke me up, but knew it was a loud banging noise. And then I heard it again....but louder. So as our (nameless) dog is going nuts with his hair standing up on his back, I look outside the bedroom window. That window faces Pearl Harbor, and as I look out past the houses, I see what appears to be big flashes of light coming from the area of Pearl Harbor, along with LOUD booming noises. So of course my first thought is "Oh my gosh, we are getting bombed....hubby is working tonight....and forgot his cell phone at home!" :( I had no idea what to do. I called my neighbor to verify I wasn't having a nightmare but her machine picked up.
So then I called 911! They said "police, fire, or ambulance" and I said "I dunno who I need, but there are big booming noises and flashes of light coming from Pearl Harbor" and so she transferred me to police, only for me to hear "all operators are busy, please hold". How the heck is 911 gonna put someone on hold?!!? So I got more scared thinking that the police were flooded with calls about this. So I hang up and call back, only to get the same thing. So as the noises are getting louder I call a third time. They said "police, fire, or ambulance" and I said "this is the third time that I have called and there is something going on and I need to know what. It looks like explosions at Pearl Harbor. I am home alone and please just tell me if I need to get in my car and get away from here!" And the lady said "Maybe it is just military exercises" and I said "No, you don't understand, the whole sky over there is lighting up!! And the booming is shaking my house!" So she put me through to 911 .............only for me to get the same "all operators are busy" message!! So that freaked me out even more!! So she patched me thru to someone else and by this time I am in hysterics! I am crying hysterically and totally overwhelmed. The guy said "the operator said you are hearing explosions?" And I said "I don't know what it is, but it is loud, shaking my house and lighting up the sky. My husband is working tonight, I am home along with my dog and don't know what the heck is going on!!!" And he said, in the most polite, kind calm voice "Ma'am, it is a thunderstorm". hahahahahahahahaha. And of course I was like "you aren't lying to me are you" and he said "no, ma'am, I am not. you aren't from here, are you?" and I said "no" and he said "ya, they get pretty bad here" and I said "I am sooooooooooooo sorry, but in a time of war, and what I saw, it was hard not to get freaked out" and he said "I understand." I am sure I am the talk of the dispatch office today . But I was so stinkin scared!! That is the scariest moment in my life!!!
So hubby comes home this morning, and I said "Babe, that was the scariest night I ever had" and he said "what happened" and I was like "um, did you hear the commotion last night?!?! " and he said ya. and I said "did you know it was thunder right away?" and he said ya. SO I told him about my 911 calls and he couldn't believe it. He said "you didn't give them your name did you?" hahahaa.
And the storm got closer and was over our house for about 3 hours.............so scary!! The whole house was lighting up and shaking badly. I don't like thunder and lightening as it is...........it always freaked me out as a child..........but this was like none other I had been in!!! Let's hope tonight there is no more thunderstorms!!
P.S. I was sure that hubby had his cell phone tonight when he left for work. :)

well if you think about it, the kids in our streets { not the grown ups} are being used, they don't know it. Their kids are ignorant and told lies all the time. I hope they get to know the truth but I don't see them as going to hell.Saddam is surely there awaiting susan Estrich and Eleanor Clift who are Satans mother in law and sister in law.

their equipment should be unloaded and ready for them to saddle up, in kuwait?
Yes, but they did not all leave together. They went out in installments. The remainder are shipping out tomorrow. It was just like my son who is with the 3rd ID, his unit just shipped out this past Tuesday and arrived in Kuwait Wednesday.

Since when did truth have anything to do with the perceptions of the Islamic public? This will be forever recorded as "the time that Iraq took back the airport" whether it happened or not. Look at how IRNA writer of it:
Baghdad status still normal on 17th day of war.
" Based on the news heard in Baghdad, the invading forces have suffered heavy casualties during the retaking of the airport by the Iraqi forces, so that they were forced to retreat from it, but they later pounded the airport from the air and the land."
That's not Baghdad bob writing, he has cousins in Iran and every other part of that region, and sympathetic dull-minded masses throughout the Islamic world.

Berney Mac, and his hammer.
Terrorist mess wit us, it's hammer time.
To: Jackie-O
MSNBC-Reports are that the good guys think Saddam ordered RG NOT to retreat back into B-dad for fear of a military Coup.
I know Jackie-O, but that sounds funny, Saddam is not in Baghdad, at least not alive.
