So how many were really there?
I'm surprised there weren't more there, we had 8000 in Ottawa, but that was a Saturday so perhaps that had something to do with it.

numerous Canadian war veterans wearing their dress blazers with berets and medalsI had the great honour as the rally broke up, when seeing one old veteran wheeling himself across the square, I approached him and shook his hand, thanking him. The look on his face is something I do not want to forget.

GRACIAS! Thanks to all the Canadians who recognize that this isn't about sucking up to the world, rather its about
remaining free and liberating the oppressed.

Thanks to all Canadians who support us!
That being said, I support the conservative movement in Canada, but I honestly believe we can help the REAL CANADIANS more by cutting off relations with Canada.
While in the short term this would be hard on everyone, the real purpose is to destroy the credibility of the "Cretin" administration and it's lackies.
If no one gives him credibility as a leader, then since they are so reliant upon our trade to sustain their economy, the impact is obvious.
I still heartily recommend the absolute boycott of all things French and French/Canadian. Do your best to cut off any potential trade with our neighbors.
When a newer, friendlier administration comes to power, then the BOOM to their economy will be as staggering as it's fall is now.

Tears of joy here. Our good neighbo(u)rs and friends have not deserted us. I think Jean Chretien had better decide what he is - French,or Canadian. He and his administration are clearly being influenced by France.
Thank you to our many wonderful neighbors and true friends to the north! God Bless Canada!

Meanwhile, nearly 1,000 Canadian soldiers remain deployed in Afghanistan in active combat roles. Something we down south need to keep in our mind and in our prayers.

I'd like to invite everyone to help me freep an Ottawa city councillor who doesn't believe that the government should reassure American tourists that they are welcome here in Canada's capitol. Thanks! :)

everybody who REALLY wants to know how great oiur neighbors to the north are, should read: CROSS BORDER WARRIOR.
the book is about US folks in CDN uniform & CDNs in US uniform;the first cross border warriors came south in the French & Indian War!
BTW, the 10th LA was nearly all from Canada;the south had NO BETTER fighters for southern liberty!

My view is probably a minority of one, but I don't think one thing has changed in the Canadian-American friendship. What we hear is the creepy Peaceniks and politicians getting all the media attention in BOTH countries. Leftists making noise and more noise. As usual, patriots get dumped on or suppressed, but in both countries they've fought back with thousands of rallies across the land in support of freedom. Plus we have our own outlets in talk radio, the Internet and -- best of all -- Free Republic! May friendship between us last forever.

I'm 1/2 Canadian have a whole raft of relatives in the Great White North, and they are fed up with Chretien for his stance in this. We know you are on our side and appreciate it!
