Hmmm. Dumped in the river on purpose, or to dispose of it?

Just think how "saddened" Tom Daschle must be about now.

they are probably dumping all the stuff into the river so we don't find any.

What's the problem with that picture?
If this were true you'd see floating fish everywhere. I will admit that these rivers may be fished clean though. I would think it would be mentioned that some animal life had been affected though. I'd wait to see if this pans out.

Could it be that this, and other stuff like it created by Saddam's WMD, may be the real cause of the increased cancers and other diseases in Iraqis...and not depleted uranium?

I bet this is why Saddam cut the power to baghdad. If he's going to die he wants to kill his entire population with it. No power means no water. No water means the people will go to the river to drink or at least the water won't be cleaned before sending to the people.

This will probably be Blix's excuse for why they couldn't find anything.
Tour exotic Iraq . . . but don't drink the water.

Wasn't there an attempt made to poison our troops' water in Jordan a few days ago?

Has this been mentioned anywhere else? Not to put too fine a point on it, but as a former subscriber to SKY TV, they are just a bit better than the tabloids that can be found wrapping fish and chips in Picadilly Circus for using dubious sources and senasationalizing rumours. There have been no reports of mass deaths or poisonings as of yet. But, I don't have much doubt that the peaceloving muslims in charge of Iraq would do this, just looking for corroboration.

Anybody got data on concentrations found? How high is high?
Enough to kill fish? Enough to kill people?

Most probably, this is the result of someone trying to get rid of evidence, not poison the river. Remember those sightings reported last week of Iraqis in chem suits handling drums? They were probably dumping the stuff in the river to keep coalition forces from finding them on the way north.
