Mass Deportation of Muslim Illegal Aliens ruled out
WORLD TRIBUNE ^ | 2/18/03

Tuesday, February 18, 2003

The Bush administration has rejected the prospect of mass deportations of Muslim illegal aliens.

The administration plans to relay this message to American Muslim leaders amid the current nationwide alert for an Al Qaida attack. Hundreds of Muslims have been detained as illegal aliens as part of a crackdown by federal law enforcement authorities, Middle East Newsline reported.

On Tuesday, FBI Director Robert Mueller will meet American Muslim leaders to discuss federal measures against Al Qaida threats. Muslim groups have filed a class action suit against the government, charging that the Immigration and Naturalization Service has arrested Muslims illegally.

Muslim groups said the millions of Muslims in the United States have been the target of a backlash since the Al Qaida suicide attacks on New York and Washington in September 2001. They said at least 15 Muslims and a Sikh have been killed in attacks around the country.

Officials said Mueller plans to discuss the attacks on Muslims as well as policy toward illegal aliens. They said this will include a law passed over the last year that requires citizens from many Arab and Islamic nations to register with the INS. The procedure also includes photographing and fingerprinting.

Muslim groups have expressed concern that the law will result in the detention and deportation of hundreds of thousands of Arab and Islamic immigrants who arrived illegally or whose visas have expired. The Alliance of Iranian Americans, the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, the Council on American Islamic Relations, and the National Council of Pakistani Americans have asked a federal court to issue an injunction to prevent the prospect of mass arrests.

But officials said the administration plans to reassure Muslim groups that special procedures enacted over the last year will be limited to those immigrants regarded as security threats.

I know. ...If the polls show it's going to be a close race, I'll probably reconsider.

Several were 'visa overstayers' who were technically illegal at the time of the hijackings.

We all held our noses and voted for the current Prez. We all got together and put him in because he was electable. We are all grateful to have him in office, except perhaps for this issue of illegal immigration and the much-debated CFR bill, which is now in effect.

I guess you just can't have everything.

We are just like any other political group in the regard that we will take what we can get. (But we get more when we raise our voices and organize.) Forgive me for being too practical, but I, for one, am quite happy not to have Gore as President.

Best regards- December.

I hope they fly the NWO flag just to reduce the crying from the left. Really though, I have no idea. We need to do whats best for us, and screw what everyone else thinks. It's the only adult way to act.

We dare not single out the Muslims. That would be a hate crime.
We dare not depaort illegals on mass. We will annoy Mexico and the 20-33% of Hispanics who vote Republican.

Go read Alien Nation by Peter Brimlow. The pincers are closing.

>>Everybody wants to round up the illegals<<

True. Overwhelmingly, Americans want the people who break our laws deported. That's because we live here by rule of Law, unlike Mexico, where it's rule of bribe and deceit. Further, legalizing all the criminals who are already here has not stopped the flow in the past; in fact, the flow increased dramatically after the last amnesty.

In Portland, Maine, the issue is not that no one wants to round them up and deport them, it is that the Catholic and Lutheran Charities, who make an enormous amount of money on each legal immigrant, refugee, and criminal alien they attract here, are politically very powerful in this state.

Further, the state is heavily populated with the guilt-ridden, multiculuralist/diversity crowd (many universities) who scream racism along with the immigration attorneys whenever anyone would protest against an agenda which is intent on dismantling the reviled 'white' culture.

Finally, I am not affected by the hordes of illegals, it is the working poor native who has to bear the bitter fruits of uncontrolled illegal immigraton. I take a stance because I believe it is morally wrong for the elitist multiculuralist and money-grubbing charitable businesses to foist their agenda onto the backs of the working poor Americans.

Yes!! It needs to go! Or at least get that stupid, suicidal inscription off of it's base.

I was hoping France would ask for it back.

Me, too. What with the good news out of Iraq today, he has a huge opportunity to use the bully pulpit and make his moves toward turning the ship of state around. I'll contact NRA, too, about the Assault Weapons Ban.

Middle Easterners streaming to Texas Study says most live in Houston By EDWARD HEGSTROM

Copyright 2002 Houston Chronicle Texas has one of the nation's fastest-growing Middle Eastern populations, and most of the state's immigrants live in Houston, according to a study based on census data.

Researchers at the Center for Immigration Studies say Texas' Middle Eastern population more than doubled in the last decade, to just over 100,000, including more than 52,000 in Greater Houston.

The snippy part of me wanted to say: "Good! Let 'em go to anywhere but NC -- we've got enough as it is! I hope they stay there." Then, the empathetic part of me said: "Poor TX!"

It's an old truth that scum can hide easily in big cities.

BTW, Houston was one of the places I considered moving to in my great escape from Kalifornicate. I have family there. I rejected it because it would have been more like a unilateral move. And I thank God for it often!!

15 states license illegals to drive

WorldNetDaily.com ^ | Wednesday, September 17, 2003 | By Jon Dougherty

Amid the outrage over California Gov. Gray Davis' decision to sign legislation allowing illegal aliens to obtain driver's licenses comes the stunning revelation by immigration experts that the Golden State is neither unique nor alone: 14 other states also allow illegal aliens to drive legally on their highways.

While many of those states – Alaska, Connecticut, Idaho, Louisiana, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Utah, Washington and West Virginia – have had such laws in place for some time, they have become increasingly scrutinized since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, say analysts with the Federation for American Immigration Reform.

If another terrorist act takes place on US soil.................

I'll bet the INS is so incompetant they are unable to track them and round them up in great numbers for deportations. By great numbers I mean as few as 10,000 illegal alien Muslims.
Just think of the logistics. Airplanes would have to chartered. Jail space reserved before they are pushed onto the airplane. Would you shackle them because I could easily see a mid air revolt by 300 pissed off Muslims. Then some Muslim nations would refuse to take back their people. Would be messy.

Of course I would do it anyhow.
