General Brooks correctly states Abrahms NOT destroyed in combat (VANITY)
Foxnews video of Brooks' news conference ^ | 4/4/03 | Self

I was very pleased to hear Gen. Brooks correct a reporter who presumed three M1-A1s were DESTROYED in combat. General Brooks correctly stated three were damaged. None were destroyed as a result of combat.

A tank can be rendered immobile, stuck or inoperative, but these hulls were not destroyed or listed as total losses AND no crew member has been lost in combat/enemy fire.

Saw that, looked the the Arab inquisitor was trying to obtain information as to whether or not it was the Cornet that "destroyed" the tanks, so his friends would know what to use next time.

Smart response by Gen. Brooks

I certainly enjoy watching General Brooks every morning. How he does it day after day without losing his temper at all the idiotic questions is amazing to me!

Yep, it would seem the safest place in Iraq is in an Abrams.

Thank goodness someone finally did. The "DESTROYED" thing was really getting on my nerves...it's bad enough reporters call everything a tank.

The safest place anywhere is in an Abrams tank.
