Anyone else hear that guy on the MSNBC Baghdad live feed?? Some guy overslept and is now giving a report over the phone to someone. Said he overslept and missed an interview with Nightline!

Ha!

He was asking about what happened and was told about the airport. He reassured whoever he was talking to that he wouldn't go to the airport.

Anyone else hear that guy? Who was that?

Now it's just a tone.

Gone now. They must have realized he was feeding live.

Too funny. He overslept...alarm didn't go off. Said they were running by generator.

It was pretty funny...he obviously didn't know he was transmitting live and was just apologizing for missing his interview with Nightline!

Some guy talking to "Liz" or "Liv"...couldn't tell which.

Some of this reporting is juvenile. This guy is making a big deal out of the fact that skirmishes are still poping up around the airport parimeter. Big surprise. This is news? Someone should take this poor person by the hand and lead them back to Kuwait.

He kept trying to give his report, kept messing up and starting over...said he was going back to bed!

He said the bombing in the dark had left quite an impression on the Iraqis in Baghdad.

Hehehe.. MSNBC reminds of a bad local cable access channel. One watches only to see the comedic screw-ups. You caught one in progress!

Cheers.

Heh.... I love it when that happens... I always strain to hear the mumblings of both the politicians and those testifying on C-Span and the like, when they leave the mike feed on and no one is aware of it.

Did you hear him on the live feed?

I keep the live feed going all the time...almost continuously since the war started because I don't have cable. Usually it's pretty dull, I've seen birds and people cleaning the porch and the camera lens. I don't know who this guy was though.

I don't have cable.

Well, it startled me, because I was just sitting here, not really hearing anything, reading the breaking news when this voice suddenly came out loud!

Pretty funny. He was saying "No...they aren't going to put me on the camera...they want the city..."

I was just surfing and yet another hand-wringing cretin on CNN spewing about how we were "invading and occupying" Iraq and how this was gonna cause a "shock wave" of protest in the Arab world.

Now hitting the next button on the remote....

I may not have heard the live feed. I doubt it. I did hear a guy reporting from the airport remarking that there were still skirmishes, and how the airport wasn't totally secure. Hell they're in a war zone, big deal.

Big surprise. This is news?

It's as much news as the perpetual "breaking news"..."Explosions heard in Baghdad".
