Normally, Stratfor does a good job of analysis. But this time, they utterly missed the most appropriate historical analogy. It IS Berlin, but not in 1945, but in 1989 when the Wall came down. I discuss this in my latest UPI column, also up on FR.

Congressman Billybob

Latest column, now up on UPI, and FR, "The Berlin Solution to the Baghdad Problem."

Latest book(let), "to Restore Trust in America."

I would siagree with your assessment of this source. They have been floundering around of late to sow as much double as they can. This sounds like a stealth hit-piece from Wesley Clarke. Is he still planning on running for the demo nomination in 2004?

Remember all the guns being purchased before the war started? You can bet they were only available to those loyal to Saddam. What you will see is 80 percent of the population being bullied by Saddam's loyalists and former bureaucrats.

I absolutely agree with you... what we will witness will be the same as the implosion of the Soviet bloc... from within...
