I marvel at folks who can talk of bringing these people to a war crimes tribunal.

There is no Geneva Convention agreement, anylonger.

These irregular forces are not "in an easilly recognisable uniform of a national power bearing a recognisable emblem (flag, crest, etc.) of that power.

I have found it very interesting that we keep mentioning the Geneva convention. You are right, the Iraqi's were not a signatory to it.

I remember when the Iraqi minister made fun of it on TV. They don't give a hoot in hell for anything but power....hmm, sounds like a political party I know.
