The first casualty of war is truth. Careful. I got many many people mad at me when I suggested that all the wounds on the soldiers shown in the Al-Jaazera video could have been combat injuries. No one was willing to admit that head shots can and do happen in combat.
Even had a few people telling me to 'go back to DU' because I dare question their execution theory.

I was trained to put a bullet in every head as I assaulted an objective. If my buddy double tapped an enenmy, and I wasn't sure if the bad guy was dead, I would also double tap the same bad guy. This would continue untill those behind would have no doubt that the bad guy was dead!!
Once an objective was secured it was illegal to go back and kill the wounded, they were then considered POW's. Not wanting to be burdened with POW's, we were instructed to make sure of our double tap.

Kevlar helmets and flak jackets. There were gunshot wounds in areas (forehead and torso) that would have been protected by those things in combat.
I suspect the helmets and jackets were removed prior to wounding.
Execution after capture.
Yes, its circumstantial.

No one was willing to admit that head shots can and do happen in combat. Yes they do. Now, of the 40 some known American combat KIA, how many of those do you guess were head shots? Yet at least two of the four paraded in that film were. Just play the odds and you come to the unavoidable conclusion, well, you know what that conclusion is. You are welcome, however, to wait for some "official" confirmation if you wish.
