Prayer Request -- Passing of Devoted Wife of FReeper AdA$tra and Mother of Four Young Sons

It is with sorrow that I must report the passing of AdA$tra's wife, Kelly. She passed away on Tuesday, April 1 at their home after an illness.

...that was beautiful...and I hope Ad finds it as such. My sympathies to you for the loss of your mom....I lost mine in '79 --- can you imagine these four young boys and what they feel. My heart breaks for all of them.

To Barry, Sean, Zachary, Ethan, and Michael:

May God's hand hold, guide and comfort you day by day as you emerge from the daze and slowly begin to live new lives in a new capacity, always remembering the love Kelly had for each one of you, striving to honor her best intentions and building on your own hopes and dreams for a bright future.

My husband passed away in November 1997 following a lengthy illness. At the time our sons were 15, 13, 11 and 7. Today the oldest two are serving in the military and the younger ones are growing big and moving forward.

My only advice is to not take for granted that you know what God wants for you.... I had assumed that He would send a good man my way to marry and help raise the boys, but now at age 44, I've figured out that God Himself has watched over and protected them and I am grateful and have stopped second-guessing His plan.

Life is an adventure, full of unpredictable situations, and not all of them are tragic. Look for the bright spots and enjoy them fully, for God will send blessings. The secret to happiness is thankfulness - this is a lesson your boys need to learn soon.

Thank you for your sympathy. But my loss pales compares to Ad and his family. My mother was 82 and not herself anymore. But a prayer for my Marine son in Iraq from all of you wouldn't hurt.

I think that with a lot of help and love that Ad and his sons will make it. His wife will be sorely missed but to coin a phase "Life goes on." It will just take time. I'm sure that Ad will find the strength through her love to find a way to keep her memory alive instead of just a picture sitting on a shelf. They are her legacy and she should be remembered with love each day.
