By echoing the ''regime change'' line popular with hundreds of thousands of antiwar protesters who have demonstrated across the nation in recent weeks, the Massachusetts senator and Democratic presidential contender seemed to be reaching out to a newly invigorated constituency as rival Howard Dean, the former governor of Vermont and a vocal opponent of the war in Iraq, closes in on Kerry in opinion polls.

From his web site:
A graduate of Yale University, John Kerry entered the Navy after graduation, becoming a Swift Boat officer, serving on a gunboat in the Mekong Delta in Vietnam. He received a Silver Star, Bronze Star with Combat V, and three awards of the Purple Heart for his service in combat.

Another alternative would be to purge Mass from the union and cede it to Quebec.

"Isn't this guy a Vietham vet? ".....
Is this the same Kerry who admitted killing the women and children in Vietnam.. My Lai? Or was it the Kerry from Nebraska?
I respect anyone who has served the armed forces honorably.
With that being said, past deeds don't make you a present-day patriot.
Or make you a military expert.
I wish these politicans who have served in the military would stop using their military service as a get out jail free card.

'Regime change,' which Kerry advocates, means the violent overthrow of a government. Kerry is suggesting that occur in the U.S. Kerry should be removed from the Senate and tried for treason.
To: OriginalV
This is one of their "leading lights", mind you.
A real deep thinker.
I've forgotten more things since breakfast than assholes like Kerry have learned in their entire lifetime.

We should respect every veteran for the service they have done for their country. BUT, a vet is also responsible for his actions and behavior once they return to the civilian sector. Kerry has disgraced himself, his political party and our brave troops now abroad by his remarks. He must be judged by those remarks. He also is a lier as he said he would stop campaigning during this war and hasn't.

the DUmmies never cease to amaze, this won't play well in Peoria Stupid move. Believe it or not, even here in New Jersey a poll taken this week shows two-thirds of the state support the President and the war. That says a lot coming from the state who voted in McGreevey and Lautenberg.
To: hawkaw
He is a Viet Nam vet who has been accused of killing an unarmed village of women and children... but he is a demoncrat, so the media wont ask him about that.
I mean it's not like he got a DUI or something REALLY REALLY bad...

IIRC this was a quote from Harrison Ford a short while ago. Kerry is following the lead of the Hollywood wing of the party.
