Jessica's dad said yesterday that she was tough. He attributed a lot of it to being raised in the country and having an older brother. I guess he was right.

"She wants to become a teacher, and we are going to see that she becomes one,"

I suspect she will become a very good one..............

"She's real spirited. She hasn't eaten in eight days and she's hungry," said her father, Greg Lynch. "She wants some food."

I keep hearing this - even talking to her parents this is reported to be her words.
We don't know the extent of her wounds -could be stomach or intestine related so they won' let her have solid food... otherwise I would think they' be feeding the hell out of her to get hre back to health.

"She was fighting to the death," the Washington Post quoted an official as saying. "She did not want to be taken alive."

One hell of a soldier!

"She's real spirited. She hasn't eaten in eight days and she's hungry," said her father, Greg Lynch. "She wants some food."

Wow, I've heard and not stated an opinion on women on the front lines, but with a soldier like this who is fighting to the death and then survives with serious injuries for EIGHT days with little or no food. This is one hell of a lady and soldier. Bet she took out some Iraqi combatants while she sustained her own injuries.
What do you all think? I think the broken bones were post capture and inflicted as a torture method.

IMHO her actions are at the very least deserving of a Silver Star.

this young lady is being portrayed as a superhero and from the details that have come out so far, i cannot call her a hero. is there any right-thinking soldier who would not "fight to the death" by firing their last round at the enemy before being taken prisoner by an enemy as ruthless as this one? I deeply appreciate her service to our country and wish her the best but, unless some additional details emerge, i see no reason for her to be hailed as a hero.

It is likely that some of the brave people who risked their lives to rescue her from captivity are heroes, and it is very likely that the iraqi citizen that risked his life to provide information which lead to her rescue is a hero.

Rescued POW Put Up Fierce Fight

In other words the gorgeous little Jessica has more balls than that whiny, faggy Marine conscientious objecter.

God bless her...I think he has now.

I wonder who will be the first one to claim the story of Jessica's heroism is bogus...

Wanna bet someone will?

I keep getting this mental image of an Iraqi soldier laying on the ground dying with the last thing he saw was this 5'5" blond girl who just kick his and his buddies @$$!

Makes me feel all warm inside.
