From The Corner on National Review Online:

HUMAN SHIELDS [Kathryn Jean Lopez]
CNN: Nic Robertson, from the Jordanian border reports that sources inside Baghdad tell him: Iraqi government officials are driving around in a neighborhood near the airport, using loudspeakers to tel people to leave their houses and go toward the airport. People are doing that, he says.

That doesn't sound good.
Will they use some type of WMD while our troops are there? Do they think our guys will gun all these down? Confusion? Just some bombs?

Stomach in knots. Who knows what they will do now that we are in Baghdad?

Having lots of people outdoors, in an open field (airport) is not a good thing. They end up being human shields.

Hmmm. (you can tell I'm thinking, smoke rolling out of ears)

They're gonna use gas or heavy artillery on those civilians and blame it on the US.

I don't understand this. Beret Boy has been telling the citizens of Iraq that US/coalition forces are nowhere near Baghdad. If the airport is under US/coalition control and the Iraqi officials are telling people to go to the airport then aren't they going to SEE that they US is in control of the airport and not the RG?
