Bob Arnot reported earlier this morning that the fedayeen that they were capturing/killing were Palestinians from Syria and Jordan. My guess is that Syria was giving Palies from the West Bank & Gaza Syrian passports so they could get into Iraq.

I'm sure we'll be revising that Axis of Evil list very very soon and you can bet that Syria is going to be added as a replacement for Iraq.

Syria being at the top of the terrorism list would be nothing new. They have been on the State Department's "top five" list for at least twenty years, I believe. The only thing that made them merit a lower position than the "big 3 axis" is that they have not shown a tendency to export weaponry, except of course to hit at Israel. They will assume their place pronto now, though.
