Hey, isn't that Bill Clinton and Al Gore's war doctrine?
To: Howlin
Good! I love the look. Powell told off the Euro-wienies today. Guess the press missed it, heh.

Ha - these stories are great! When I was little, we didn't get extra things at the store - my Dad was a public school teacher. One day, my Mom actually bought my sister, myself and my little brother each our own tube of Chap-Stick.
My brother ate his when we got home. (No - I don't know why...it smells good but tastes awful...no idea how you could get through a whole tube.) Then he stole mine and my sister's and ate both of those. We were so mad at him, we told him it was poisonious and he was going to die. He believed us and cried for a long time, kept saying "But I don't want to die!" Finally, our anger wore off and we informed him that wasn't really going to die.

Are we there yet?
I'LL TELL YOU WHEN WE ARE THERE!! NOW PIPE DOWN!!
One of my favorite books is The Agony and the Ecstacy by Irving Stone. A movie was made of the book starring Charlton Heston and Rex Harrison.
Charlton Heston played Michelangelo and Rex Harrison played Pope Julius ll. In the movie the Pope commissions Michelangelo to paint the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel and wants to see it finished in his lifetime.
He continually harrasses Michelangelo throughout the years, wanting to know when the cranky artist (who hates painting and would much rather be sculpting) will be finished. Julius would turn up almost daily in the Sistine Chapel and yell up to the scaffolding, "When will it be ended?"
Michelangelo would always answer, "When it is finished!"
The press wants to know when this war of Iraqi Liberation will be ended but don't care that this war could turn out to be a masterful production in itself.

Whew,,,I had a vision of him in a strait jacket waiting to die as we post. That is funny. I once told my little sister she was adopted and had her convinced she was for years,,I even told her of going to get her. She hasn't forgotten.

BBC's censored reporter in BaghdadThe nice thing, IMHO, about the BBC coverage is that every time they have a report, the anchor always clearly says beforehand that "So-and-so's movements are restricted, and his reports are monitored by the Iraqi government." It's nice to hear them clearly state the nature of the regime there.

Sky David Chater in B-dad said that he hasn't seen people make preparations for the onslaught. Like they're just willing to give up.
There's no resistance yet to the airport attack.

Wonder where the reporter was who was badgering them this morning about our "retreat plans",,it was truly hysterical, she was all in a lather about the propective retreat. All in all I would say the quagmire is going well for us.
To: Howlin
And he would do it, IMO.He'd never get out - they'd be so busy shaking his hand and giving him babies to kiss.
