Are we there yet?

I'LL TELL YOU WHEN WE ARE THERE!! NOW PIPE DOWN!!

One of my favorite books is The Agony and the Ecstacy by Irving Stone. A movie was made of the book starring Charlton Heston and Rex Harrison.

Charlton Heston played Michelangelo and Rex Harrison played Pope Julius ll. In the movie the Pope commissions Michelangelo to paint the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel and wants to see it finished in his lifetime.

He continually harrasses Michelangelo throughout the years, wanting to know when the cranky artist (who hates painting and would much rather be sculpting) will be finished. Julius would turn up almost daily in the Sistine Chapel and yell up to the scaffolding, "When will it be ended?"

Michelangelo would always answer, "When it is finished!"

The press wants to know when this war of Iraqi Liberation will be ended but don't care that this war could turn out to be a masterful production in itself.

Great post. The American people saw this happen and any reporter or historian who tries to take away the victory for our sons and daughters and country...Amazon rating below Algore's.
