They look like desert plants that way.
Much of the Iran-Iraq war was fought in the Shatt-al-Arab swamps. Perhaps that's why.
Perhaps the French has lots of left over green material.

Could we nuke with our troops all over the neighborhood. I don't see a nuke,,after all we want to win hearts and minds and the Iraqi people aren't using the wmd,,a small group of evil people are.

You need to open up more and tell how you really feel.

How can that happen with our troops so close,, The blast radius on tactical nuclear weapons is not nearly as big as people think.
They made one that could be used within a mile of our troops. One of them (the nuclear bazooka, forgot the name*retired weapon*) has a blast radius larger than the range of the weapon.

Which way is the wind blowing in Baghdad...?It has been pretty still, since Peter Arnett left.

Nada. Weather is prime time for chemical. Bio is only effective on a city setting and civilians, in the field it's as useless as throwing a hand grenade at an M1A1.

We will not use WMD against them. We will use Daisy and MOAB however.

It's cloudy and overcast in Baghdad. If they use WMD they would hang around for a while.

Here's a question. I believe that only Sadaam himself could order someone to use chem weapons. If he's dead, who's going to take the responsibility for using something that makes all invovled (from general to private) an instant war criminal?
To: Beck_isright
Now that is good news. I had a friend once tell me years ago not to worry about nuclear war,,this was the height of the cold war. He said they would try to fire the nukes and none but a couple would go off,,they would all malfunction. He practically invented the microprocessor and was very smart so that sort of relieved me.

Weather is prime time for chemical. The wind appears to be blowing east to west in the CBS Baghdad cam.

"Iraq is in the desert right?"
No, not all of it. Once you get into the river deltas and around Baghdad, it's more agricultural and marshy. In the north it varies between rolling hills and desert.

Yep. This is why we have been begging them not to use bio/chem's as we gotta nuke em and there are civilians. But war is war.
To: Beck_isright
I hope you are right,,nothing like a little carpet bombing followed by a couple of moabs to clarify their thinking,,that would be my response. Usually you and I fight and butt heads, but tonite you are a sweet voice of reason. Not that there is anything wrong with that,,haha

Oh Chemical Ass. We've been hearing this "chatter" threat for months. Chatter Chatter Chatter. Yellow book yellow book yellow book, everywhere I go. The Prez already said if they go Chem we go Nuke. Seems only right to me. Maybe we should just firebomb the dump of a city. Nice try... but even if they use chemisty it will be tactically irrelevant. We don't need to respond in kind, and I don't think we would. It only complicates the battlefield at this point. Victory is certain, nomatter what they do.
